Can you believe that school is starting back up in just about one month from now? I know my kids are not excited about that prospect. However, Saint John would like to announce a new event focused on tying all the parish family together to support our youth, the First Annual Catholic College Fair. The Knights of Columbus have generously agreed to sponsor this day-long Fair in the Parish Life Center Ballroom on September 27th, bringing Catholic Universities and Colleges (as well as some local schools’ Catholic Student Groups). We will be opening up this Fair to not only our parish families, but all the high schools in the area, giving students an opportunity to see the spectrum of opportunities to engage their spiritual growth as well as their academic and social consciousness.
With almost 200 Catholic colleges and universities in the United States, there are many choices for our students. If you are an alumni of a Catholic college or university and would like to assist with this Fair, please contact Jean-Paul Boucher ([email protected] or 239-566-8740) so we can fill our Ballroom with schools that will assist our community in engaging our faith as part of their education.
