Centering Prayer

In 1971 Pope Paul VI asked the Trappists to do what they could to help the Catholic Church re-find its contemplative dimension. Centering Prayer was the result. It is the extension from the cloister to every parish for meditation for everyone. It is a simple, silent focus on God who is always at home in us. In silence we let go of our own idea of ourselves, turn over our will to God and rest in his loving presence that is always present within us and waiting to reveal itself to us.

Anyone interested in Centering Prayer is welcome to join any or all of three groups: Monday at 5:30 p.m. in room 15 in the Claussen Center; Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. in room 7 in the Parish Life Center; or Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. in the  Parish Library.
