We are fast approaching 2015 and with the New Year comes several major social activities here at Saint John. Here are a few that deserve special mention so you can make sure they are all on your calendars:
- February 1st: Super Bowl Party – We may not know who is playing this year quite yet, but we are looking forward to hosting a Super Bowl Party in our Ballroom with food, drinks, games, and camaraderie. Please remember to book your tickets early (the price will stay the same it has since we started the party eighteen years ago, $25 a person) since we sold out over a week early last year.
- February 7th: “Senior” Prom – When was your senior prom? 1940’s? 1960’s? 1990’s? Hasn’t happened yet? Come re-live that night here at Saint John with food, drinks (no, you will not need to smuggle your drink in a flask, we will be carding all of you at the door) for this brand-new event sponsored by both the Men’s Club and the Youth Group. Come dressed in your best Prom attire, and if you do not have a dance partner, do not fret. We will have dates waiting at the door for pictures, corsages, and multi-generational music and dancing. This is an all-out Prom theme extravaganza and all proceeds will benefit the parish family trip to Philadelphia to meet the Pope and the World Meeting of Families.
- February 12th: Knights of Columbus Valentine Dance – The Knights of Columbus will be hosting their annual Valentines Day Dance on February 12th. Snuggle up with your Valentine and dance the night away! All the proceeds will go to local charities, like Guadalupe Social Services.
