New Communities and New Parishioners Mean More from Saint John

Scan 7If you have driven around the Naples area recently, either as newly returned for the season, or as a year-long resident, you have probably noticed the significant increase in construction.  There are new communities popping up on just about every corner, from Livingston to Vanderbilt, from the Dunes to the Park.  We even have a new hospital that is being constructed right down the street from us.  There is no doubt that Naples is booming once again, and that means significant opportunity for our Parish Family to grow.  We are very blessed to be in this position, when other parishes around the country are shrinking, and we will be growing along with the area to meet the needs of all of us.  This is the entire reason to Build Our Future, Serve Our Past.

During part of our office cleanup efforts this past week, we found an interesting document from 2004, illustrating the parish boundaries of Saint John.  As a Catholic Church, we have responsibility to pastorally support all those in our area (and all of humanity, of course).   With the overall increase of population between the Gulf of Mexico to 75, from Vanderbilt to Lee County, this campaign will ensure we have the physical space (including renovations to the church, parking areas, and access) and programs (wellness and adult activities, as well as CYO) to meet the needs of our Parish Family.

These are just a few of the plans we have.  Please help us make these and other improvements a reality.  While we have begun the work our current blessings have allowed us to accomplish for the Build Our Future, Serve Our Past capital campaign, we still need our entire Parish Family to give in order to reach our additional goals. If you have any questions, please contact Joe Lichwalla, the Campaign Coordinator at 239-495-2001 or email: [email protected].
