Over four years of dedication and hard work have gone into planning the future of Saint John the Evangelist. From the idea of this building as a simple gymnasium for a few activities, to the now fully fleshed out Life Center, alive with constant activities and programs for our Parish Family and the larger community, it has been an exciting adventure. At certain junctures along the way of this Capital Campaign to Build Our Future, Serve Our Past, we have asked for our entire parish’s opinions and priorities. From the initial focus groups that identified that there was a need for such a building and program in our community, to the question and answer sessions when we kicked off the campaign, this has been a completely open effort to serve you and your needs.
We have that chance again right now. St. John is asking each and every one of you to participate in our online survey on the programs we have described in this column over the past month. From arts and music, to social and spiritual, to sports and wellness, we anticipate the development of dozens of programs starting this Fall for every age group. The only way we can ensure we are meeting your needs is if you tell us what you want. When you fill out the survey, there are two “techie” items I want to alert you to:
- If you are using a mobile device, there is a link on the webpage you should use in order to view the survey properly. Please click on that link and it will take you to the proper site.
- After the first screen of the survey, introducing the New Programs, you will be asked to select the age group for which you want to answer the questions about. Please select as many as you want so it can build your survey for you. It will darken each choice. Once you have chosen your final age group, you will see that the option has turned into a “Confirm Choice?” selection. Click that option again and it will take you to your survey.
While the money has been pledged in our Build Our Future, Serve Our Past capital campaign to build our Life Center and some of our other urgent needs, we still need our entire Parish Family to give in order to reach our additional goals, including the detailed execution of the above programs.
