Capital Campaign Update: Phase 2 Begins

Faith is to believe what you do not see. The reward of faith is to see what you believe. – St. Augustine

Our dedicated Capital Campaign Committee is ready to begin the second phase of the Build Our Future, Serve Our Past campaign.  We have been very successful in reaching our initial goals with the generosity of 40% of our active Parish Family here at Saint John, but we still have a long way to go in order to reach the pinnacle goal of $14 million, ensuring we are able to grow the programs as well as take care of all the needs of our church and existing buildings.  We need the other 60% of our parish to become involved in this campaign.

Many of you that have not yet committed to a pledge for our campaign will be receiving additional communications from our volunteers and our church in the coming weeks, especially those of you who are here full-time, to prayerful consider your commitment to our church.  Your support is key.  Many of you know exactly what we require, especially those of you who had Mass without altar lights last week can attest to, due to moisture leaks in the church due to the roof, which is past its useful lifespan.  Others have wonderful ideas for other activities and programs, from a local food pantry to support Naples Park to wellness programs for seniors.  We are looking forward to making these efforts a reality with all your support.

We need our entire Parish Family to give in order to reach our additional goals.  If you haven’t turned in your pledge card, please do so as soon as possible.  If you did not receive your Campaign Packet or if you have any questions, please contact Joe Lichwalla, the Campaign Coordinator at 239-495-2001 or email: [email protected].
