Bay Colony Bands Together to Feed Those in Need

SJE Parish Family and Friends Enlist Entire Neighborhood for Food Drive

Just when you would think our Parish Family has given as much as we possibly could during this Pandemic Crisis, we have angels in our midst who showcase the best of our faith, our community, and our humanity. A group of parishioners organized an entire neighborhood in Bay Colony for a food drive, providing lists of needed supplies and scheduling a time at their tennis courts to drop off the food. This was all done with proper social distancing and PPE to ensure no transmission of the virus would occur. The food was then transported right to the Saint Vincent DePaul Food Pantry, restocking their shelves that are being emptied on almost a daily basis due to the significant need.

If you are interested in doing something similar in your neighborhood, please reach out to our Business Manager, Jean-Paul Boucher at [email protected] and he can assist you with all the logistics and details, including the deployment of our church vehicles and staff to assist with the food pickup and delivery.
