Assisting Guadalupe Center Thanksgiving in the Park at Saint John: Turkey Drop-Off Wednesday, November 26th

PrintThe Guadalupe Center’s Thanksgiving in the Park is a wonderful service program that has been running for decades. Thanksgiving in the Park is an opportunity to provide food to those in need within Immokalee by bringing hundreds of Thanksgiving dinners to feed those that do not have the resources to make it themselves. For the first time, the Saint John Knights of Columbus Council and Saint John parish are providing a Turkey Drop-Off Location right on campus, in our Ballroom from 7:45 AM to 12:15 PM, on Wednesday, November 26th. Please bring a fully cooked and frozen turkey (which can be purchased at Publix and other stores), then thawed-out to the Knights Wednesday morning at the Saint John Ballroom. The Knights will then take it in the afternoon to the preparation station at Moorings Presbyterian Church. This inter-faith, ecumenical effort is a wonderful way to provide to those who have so little and bring joy to families and children who would otherwise not eat a Thanksgiving dinner.
