Due to the extensive water damage to our pews, Saint John will be receiving new pews across the entire church building. We are very blessed that in addition to the current pews, we will be placing pews where we had traditionally had pew chairs (the individual seats with kneelers built into the backs) so we can seat more people for Masses. Since the chairs were not damaged at all, we began looking for a church in need. The Diocese assisted us in identifying Saint Catherine Catholic Church in Sebring, FL. Our Facilities staff of Ovidio and Jesus packed both our box truck and a 26′ rental truck full of the 340 chairs and drove them up to the church today. They have a wonderful new home and will serve that community for years to come!
