Pulte Family Life Center: A Third Place for All

During this joyous moment of the risen Jesus, we are reminded of Father John’s vision for our Parish Family’s renewal and the exciting efforts for the entire community.  Our Pastor outlined a new focus for Saint John the Evangelist, to provide enlivening programs in a safe and supportive environment.  It is the Third Place: after your home and your work/school locations that you feel comfortable.

For many of you, Catholic Youth Organization is part of your history or current life.  Did you know it has been defunct in the state of Florida for over 36 years now?  Sports, artistic, and science-based programs have transitioned to other religious and private organizations in the Naples area, and the fall-off of daily and integrated efforts has clearly impacted the engagement of our faith within our youth and families.  No longer.  The Pulte Family Life Center has become a reality in less than 3 years from kicking off our Capital Campaign.  This summer it will open with programs and exciting activities for all ages.  From bocce and music concert series for our “experienced” individuals to pick-up basketball and open mic nights for young adults, we are creating our Catholic Adult Organization (a unique concept in the US, as far as we can find).  With CYO and CAO open to our Parish Family, other churches, and the general public of Naples, we will become a beacon of hospitality and life-affirming programs across the generations.
