New Parish Van Set for Trips to Immokalee and Homeless Feeding Program

IMG_1586Through a tremendous donation to our parish, Saint John has been able to purchase a used minivan for use by our ministries.  Why a minivan?  It is the best possible mixture of people transportation and materials distribution.  We can travel to Immokalee with up to 8 people at a time, along with provisions for cleaning, feeding, and supporting our missions work.  Additionally, we can “fold and go” with enough space to pack hundreds of meals for homeless in our area.  We will be painting the Eagle Logo on the side soon, so you will be able to spot it in traffic and know our faith is alive and we are taking action to make our area a better place.  We already have weekly trips planned to Casa Maria and Guadalupe Social Services from our parish, Harry Chapin Food Bank, and Naples Catholic Charities to provide food, clothing, and wonderful volunteers.
