New and Exciting Summer Camp Programs

In order to jump start our efforts to engage the youth of the area, Saint John is proud to present a brand-new summer camp program, the first of its kind in the area, Full S.T.E.A.M Ahead! S.T.E.A.M. stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Music. By connecting “cool” technology like 3D printers with activities that ground kids in the arts and science, these camps will enliven our youth with week-long camps. From dance and music camps to robotics and Minecraft, these camps will bridge the gap that is widening in our society. Most of us were used to coming home after school and then running outside with our friends to play until dinner. That is just not the environment anymore.   Children are moving away from active and “play”-based activities for many reasons. S.T.E.A.M. will be one program Saint John will use to bring our youth together. In addition to this new program, we are thrilled to have our Vacation Bible School starting June 8^th. This exciting and fun-filled week is a chance for the youth of our parish and community to learn about our faith through music, games, crafts and activities. This year’s theme is: Everest – Conquering Challenges with God’s Mighty Power. They will take journey with their animal friends through mountaintops and icy glaciers, showcasing God’s love, healing, and comfort.
