“Finish the Church”… is Finished!

Due to the incredible generosity of our Saint John the Evangelist Parish family, I am overjoyed to announce the “Finish the Church Campaign” is officially OVER! Our Parish is DEBT FREE! Through your dedication and sacrifice, we have managed to pay over 2.5 million dollars to the Diocese over the last two years to settle our debt. This caps off the Capital Campaign and the construction of the Pulte Center.

It has been so humbling to witness the outpouring of support from our parishioners as we tackled the debt caused by Hurricane Irma in excess of the insurance coverage coupled with the planned renovations and construction of the Pulte Center.

Winston Churchill once said, “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”

Our families have given so that we are able to pursue our mission: To Know, To Love, and To Serve God in His Church and Our Community… in beautiful, modern, and DEBT FREE facilities! The commitment of the SJE family to our faith and to our mission is truly a unique gift and a beacon of hope on display for all to see.

I truly identify with Hellen Keller when she said, “Words are never warm and tender enough to express one’s appreciation of a great kindness.” I hope you know how grateful and proud I am of you all… thank you, thank you, thank you!
