One question I have heard several times from people is: What is the difference between the Family Mission now and the Family Ministry structure before? There is an important 
distinction between Ministry (activities of the church that are usually internal to the existing parish and parishioners) and Mission (usually externally focused new evangelism and good works). Saint John has the opportunity to invigorate our church’s focus on families in the local area by illustrating our Mission. The emphasis for all the youth, young adult, family and couples programs will be on how to take our faith and apply it into the world in a loving, tangible way, full of mercy and hope, as our Pope has asked us to do.
