Families Fill Our Church with Mission and Love

This past Sunday, our Ballroom was filled to the rafters with the families of St. John, all gathering together to share the joy and community that is our faith.  With over 475 people, and standing room only,  Father John spoke about how the Parish is a Family for all of us.  We heard a beautiful story of a young girl who got to sing for Pope Francis on the eve of his trip to the United States, and how he wants all of us to be courageous and loving.  After snacking on delicious treats, including some Gluten-Free options from Epiphany Bakery (a parishioner-owned local business), the families created their own Family Mission Statements and then they made special cards and pictures, praying for Our Holy Father.  These cards and notes will travel with our Parish group traveling to Philadelphia for the World Meeting of Family.
