Teach us to give ad not count the cost – St. Ignatius of Loyola
What an exciting year we have had already, with our new facilities and new programs breathing life and the Catholic Faith into our community! Our new church has garnered praise from our Parish Family and just about everyone that steps into our hallowed ground. The Pulte Family Life Center was awarded the 2019 Sand Dollar Award for a Public Facility, the highest award for construction in Collier County. Together, we have always responded to the needs of our church and our community. Thank you for living out our mission with both your giving and your actions!
We have some wonderfully unique opportunities this year to provide additional stewardship for those interested in supporting our Parish Mission: To Know, To Love, and To Serve God in His Church and Our Community:
Catholic Faith Appeal: The Catholic Faith Appeal is a Diocesan fundraising program which engages every parish to give to the Diocese to support Catholic Charities, the local Catholic Schools, the Seminarians, and many more programs. Even in the midst of the efforts we have undergone to repair our campus, we are still required to meet our annual assessment of $575,000. We are close, having over 72% of this goal met, but we have only a few weeks left to reach it. If you would like to make a donation that will make an impact in the region, I recommend giving to the CFA. Please visit the Diocese website: https://dioceseofvenice.org/ways-to-give/cfa/ (and designate your gift for St. John the Evangelist Parish – Naples) to make a donation or call our office and we can assist you.
Finish the Church: Two years ago, Saint John experienced millions of dollars in damage from Hurricane Irma. Strategic decisions were made to take advantage of this unique moment in our Parish’s history to renew and renovate our campus, rather than just repair the impacted buildings, “future-proofing” it for generations to come. Most of our campus, and especially the church, required repair and upgrading prior to the storm, so we were able to consolidate all our efforts into a single project. The result is our newly restored church, as well as the rest of the campus which we welcome you to explore. We now wish to complete the financial impact of such a major undertaking with your assistance. Please prayerfully consider giving to Finish the Church.
Gift for the Mission of Saint John: We have an easy way for you to give specifically to Saint John the Evangelist during this end of the year timeframe. Please go to: https://stjohntheevangelist.weshareonline.org/ws/opportunities/SundayOffertory and you can set up a one-time donation, or establish your persistent giving instead of manually through the collection basket. This gift will assist us in our daily focus on the Mission of our Parish Family. If there is a specific focus you would like to dedicate your gift towards (for example, CYO Scholarships so that youth will never be turned away from our activities and programs, or Jamaica Outreach), please do not hesitate to reach out to Jean-Paul Boucher, Business Manager, to find out more about directing your donation.
God Bless You!
