As we focus on our Catholic Faith Appeal Assessment Goal, I will be providing a short summary of where we stand on a weekly basis. These updates may be a week or so behind, so we will also provide them on our website, so please visit https://legacysite.sjecc.org for the most up-to-date information.
We are blessed by the gifts of our Parish Family on a daily basis. Last weekend, we began a push to close the gap of our CFA goal. One of our leaders of our parish, in trying to think “outside the box” came up with a great suggestion. How can we give back to the parish community while still raising money for the CFA? He came up with a way. During the rush of the holiday season, everyone could use a night out without having to make dinner. So, he was able to secure thousands of dollars in gift cards from the new restaurant, Deep Lagoon. Deep Lagoon took the place of Randy’s Fish Market on 41, and a top-to-bottom upgrade, with the same great food: http://www.naplesnews.com/story/news/columnists/tim-aten-in-the-know/2016/11/02/know-deep-lagoon-seafood-launches-duffers-sports-pub-tees-off/93110484/.
The Deep Lagoon has donated these $50 gift certificates for free. We will simply sell them for $30 at the office of the church, either in person or over the phone. Every dollar will go to the CFA goal, and you will have the opportunity to have a wonderful meal for a significant discount. These cards even would make a great Christmas gift so I am sure they will go fast.
