We are blessed as a Parish Family to have such dedicated and devoted Ministries, supporting us in every facet of our faith and life. You will all get a chance to see them during the Masses February 20th and 21st as the Ministry Parade leads off each service with the flags of the ministries. I hope you will all stop by our Parish Picnic on February 28th to meet and get to know these ministries as well, as each will have a table and representatives to let you know how you could join in their wonderful endeavors.
Each Ministry has a lead individual (or team) that ensures their group continues to grow and focuses them on their mission, whether that be assisting with the Mass, volunteering at a local soup kitchen, or serving our community at a Big Band Dance. We all owe the Ministry leads a debt of gratitude for all their sacrifice of their time and talent that makes St. John the inviting and active Catholic Church it is. These leaders should have received a letter from Father John this past week, inviting them to our annual Ministry Invigoration Meeting. We will discuss new initiatives that will assist the Ministries in their focus areas, as well as giving them all an opportunity to mingle and understand each other. We look forward to this conversation and the future of St. John together.
