Participate in Holy Week Actively with Our Virtual Environment and In Person

Join Us In Person and Online for Streaming and On Demand Faith Enriching Services From Palm Sunday to Easter

The 2021 Holy Week, which runs from Palm Sunday Masses beginning Saturday, March 27, through Easter Sunday, April 4, will be unlike any other time in our history. Last year’s Holy Week was completely virtual, with our church doors closed, and our website streaming we did not miss a moment to serve our Parish Family through this “new” medium. This year, while we have opened our church and even expanded our socially-distanced environment to include several locations for overflow, it is still considered an “at-risk” activity to participate in Masses and Services. The health and safety of our Parish Family continues to be our top priority.

Re-Commitment to Respecting and Protecting Life: Continued Health and Safety Policies for Saint John

Given the recent guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updating recommendations for fully vaccinated individuals, it is essential that we, as a Catholic Parish Family and Community, re-commit ourselves to the lives of all of those around us, especially while on our campus and attending Masses. This update DOES NOT change the policies for social distancing and mask wearing for any individuals, vaccinated or not, in a large, indoor gathering place, like our church or other buildings. We must continue to ensure every person who steps foot in on our campus continues to wear a mask while within the buildings at all times.

So, for our 2021 Holy Week, the devoted volunteers, staff, and clergy of our church will provide a substantial set of opportunities, both in-person and virtual, to enrich your engagement with our Parish Family and our Catholic Faith. Here are the details of our current plans for Holy Week 2021:

We will be distributing Palms in bunches that will be separated and provided by gloved and masked Ushers. Please only take the bunch you are handed.

We will also be selling our 2021 Car Raffle Tickets before and/or after most Masses this weekend.
