Father John’s Homily focused on a specific issue of housing and living conditions in Immokalee. There are many Ministries, like the Ladies of Charity, and individual parishioners that already focus their efforts on Immokalee, through Habitat for Humanity and the Catholic Charities, especially from Our Lady of Guadalupe. We are developing the Saint John Immokalee Mission Team in order to provide additional and complementary support to this area, in particular with urgent needs like food and housing services.
