Catholic Relief Service and USCCB Ask for Emergency Second Collection This Weekend

IRA2014093453Most Reverend Joseph E. Kurtz, the Archbishop of Louisville and President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, has requested the entire Catholic population of the United States to take up a special collection for the support and relief efforts of the Catholic Relief Services and other Catholic agencies in the Middle East, who are working feverishly to resolve the humanitarian crisis occurring to innocent victims in Iraq, Syria, Gaza and all over the region.  Saint John will be providing our second collection for the upcoming weekend (September 13th and 14th) to provide our resources to the people so desperately in need.  We will also pray with Our Holy Father for peace in the region.
