Even in the midst of the difficulties of our recovery from Hurricane Irma, and the stresses and priorities of preparing for Christmas, the families of the Optimist Soccer League and our Catholic Youth Organization came together on the first weekend of Advent to donate over 200 new and gently used toys for the children of Immokalee.
I have thanked the Dina’s, Greening’s, and the Tedrow’s several times before, but this amazing expression of the love and caring of our community showcases their leadership in living out our Mission. They have helped hundreds of families each time they set up the SJE donation program at the soccer fields.
