Please mark your calendars for September 22nd – 27th, 2015 for the World Meeting of Families, a major event for the Catholic Church. This year, the Meeting will be held in Philadelphia, PA. Saint John is planning on attending this Meeting, and with a large contingent of our Parish Family. Our Travel Agent is already hard at work securing us prime and family-friendly (for all our parishioners no matter their age and family size) lodging, food, and activities.
The Theme for the Meeting has been announced this week. It is:
Love Is Our Mission: The Family Fully Alive
We cannot imagine a more central theme to our faith and our parish focus for the next year leading up to our pilgrimage. While still not confirmed officially, Pope Francis is expected to attend and this will be his first trip to the United States since becoming Pope. Please do not miss out on this opportunity.
