Mourning Loss of a Patron of SJE: Bill Pulte

He was a man, take him for all in all, I shall not look upon his like again. – Hamlet, Act I, Scene II

When we were last walking through the Pulte Family Life Center construction zone, Father John mentioned that he hoped Mr. Bill Pulte, the founder of Pulte Homes and the patron of his vision to create such an expansive facility and programs, would be around to see this amazing structure open.  Little did we know that Mr. Pulte would pass away the very next day.  It is incredibly difficult to express the sadness we all feel at loosing someone who was so passionate and excited by this project.  When they looked at him, people would see a business man, or a pillar of the community.  Mr. Pulte was a simple guy who liked McDonald’s coffee and making a difference in people’s lives without the need for fanfare or recognition.  We will miss him terribly.  Our Parish Family and the local community will have a chance to pay our respects on Monday, March 26, at 10:30 AM.  Please join us in celebrating his life and saying goodbye.

Mr. Pulte was honored on the floor of the House of Representatives:
