Importance of Envelopes: Tax Deduction Letters

We are very blessed with the multitude of volunteers who have given of their time this week to ensure every Giving Statement for our Parish Family, over 2300 of them, was printed, folded, placed in their envelopes, postmarked, and sent in the mail to all of us.  That is a huge task and it would be impossible to do in such a timely manner without these volunteers, so thank you so much!

These statements are a reminder of the tremendous generosity of our Parish Family, whether they illustrate the giving of a widow on a fixed income that can provide $5 a week, a couple that gives significantly, or a family that provides prayers for the continued efforts of our parish.  We are grateful to you all.  They are also a reminder that registration with our parish is the only way we can assure your gifts are identified properly and you can receive these letters and other communication from our church.  You may be under the impression that you can only be registered at one Catholic Church at a time, but that is not true.  You can stay registered at a Northern parish and here at St. John at the same time.  If you are here for two weeks, two months, or the entire year, we believe you are part of our Parish Family, and we want to make sure you feel the same way.

We will have a Parish Registration Weekend on February 18 and 19 this year.  Pastoral Stewardship Council and Finance Council Members will be on hand at the church to assist anyone that has not had the chance to register at our office.
