Survey Results: Young Adults

Dear young people, do not bury your talents, the gifts that God has given you! Do not be afraid to dream of great things. – Pope Francis

I wanted to continue to provide the results of our New Programs Survey, this week focusing on Young Adults.  This age group, between 19 and 35, has a wide range of interests and priorities.  Some are deeply religious and involved, others may be on a path that has taken them away from their faith.  Some have no engagement with church at all.  Some have young children and spouses.  Others are single and are experiencing what the world has to offer as individuals.  Father John and I were pleasantly surprised that we received as many responses for Young Adult activities as we did:

As you can see, this spectrum of life journeys is clearly indicated by the more even responses to the options of the survey.  There are very few heavy majority programs.  Again, like the Youth, Service Opportunities and engagement with others, even in wellness activities like Bootcamp, are the primary needs.  As we have said before, we are creating the fellowship, the belonging, that will enhance and grow the faithful belief of our Parish Family.

While the money has been pledged in our Build Our Future, Serve Our Past capital campaign to build our Life Center and some of our other urgent needs, we still need our entire Parish Family to give in order to reach our additional goals, including the detailed execution of the above programs. If you have any questions, please contact Joe Lichwalla, the Campaign Coordinator at 239-495-2001 or email: [email protected].
