Lord, teach me to be generous.
Teach me to serve you as you deserve;
to give and not to count the cost,
to fight and not to heed the wounds,
to toil and not to seek for rest,
to labor and not to ask for reward,
save that of knowing that I do your will. – St. Ignatius of Loyola
Our Capital Campaign to Build Our Future, Serve Our Past has a scope that is far-reaching. It includes endowments that support programs on our campus and into the community, serving the poor and homeless. It impacts our own buildings as well as facilities all over the area. The word is spreading, including over the radio, about St. John and the positive impact we are making in Naples. Several local businesses have expressed their excitement and enthusiasm for what we are accomplishing, including Steamers Restaurant providing donations for Ash Wednesday’s soup fundraiser. One group has truly outdone itself. New parishioner and real estate agent Mark Maran, along with his partner Gordie Lazich, has decided to donate 25% of their commissions on any homes bought or sold by a parishioner in the next two years to our campaign. This donation will be made in the name of the Parish Family member, so not only does the money support our church, the family will benefit as well. Please see their ad below, which will be part of a special section of our bulletin for any organizations that are committed to our campaign and want to support our Parish Family.
While we have begun the work our current blessings have allowed us to accomplish for the Build Our Future, Serve Our Past capital campaign, we still need our entire Parish Family to give in order to reach our additional goals. If you have any questions, please contact Joe Lichwalla, the Campaign Coordinator at 239-495-2001 or email: [email protected].
