While attending a Knights of Columbus meeting last month (if you are a Catholic man, young or old, I highly recommend joining this service-oriented group, which dedicates its time to the Parish Family and our community locally), one of the most experienced members stood up and stated that we are so blessed to be part of such an active parish. He wanted to make sure we continued to be active all year long, so he came up with the idea of a Doo Whop Night, packed with good music, delicious White Castle-inspired burgers and treats, and dancing. Some might have thought that putting on a new event in August here in Naples would have been a tough to get a crowd. They would be wrong. A special thank you to Bill Warvel, Lou Alteri, and the rest of the KoC who packed our Ballroom with almost 200 attendees! They had a blast, proving that we are not seasonal in our activities and every age group can boogie down at St. John and enjoy each others company.
