As part of our efforts to provide food to individuals in the local area that do not have enough to eat, and whom may be homeless, Saint John has established our Homeless Feeding Program. We are very blessed to have the assistance of many local organizations, from Publix to Einstein Bagel, who will provide us with donations of food that they would otherwise be unable to use. As a church, we are able to provide these donations to the homeless and needy in the area. We have also been selected as the first Catholic Church in the area to join in the Food Donation Connection, a non-profit group that connects local groups with restaurants to ensure their food does not go to waste. We will be picking up food from these restaurants on a weekly basis to give to those in need. If you are interested in being part of this missionary effort of Saint John, please contact me.
