New and Renewed Events For an Invigorated Saint John and its Family Mission

It is an exciting time at Saint John! Every single parishioner is part of our Family Mission: To Know, To Love and To Serve God. And no matter if you do not have children, your children have children, or if your children just cut their first tooth, you are a part of the Saint John family.   We are blessed to have tremendous new and renewed programs and events for you (and your family) to engage your faith. More details will be provided in future announcements, but just a few in the upcoming events include:

  • September 7th: Families in Christ – Invigorated Sunday morning event with educational and social time for the whole family – Family Mission Statement and Breakout Topic: Technology: Keeping Your Children Safe Online
  • September 9th: Theology on Tap – New “Southey” format for weekly casual faith discussions rotating at 4 different parishes each month with free food and beer, starting at Saint Agnes (See page 7 for details)
  • September 25th: Faith and Fellowship – New monthly social event held at various restaurants to meet others (See page 7 for details)
  • September 27th: Catholic College Fair – Catholic schools from around the country exhibiting how they provide spiritual and educational experiences
  • September 27th: Family Movie Night – Bring your chairs and blankets to watch “Muppets Most Wanted” in our Ballroom with concessions to benefit the Boy Scouts
  • October 4th: Oktoberfest – Games, exhibits, German bratwurst and schnitzel, as well as refreshments that are part of the traditional celebration of Oktoberfest
  • October 5th: Families in Christ
  • October 7th: Theology on Tap at Saint John
  • October 16th: Homeless Feeding Program – Food preparation in our Ballroom kitchen to bring to local homeless individuals
  • October 25th: Trunk or Treat – Bring your decorated car, van, or truck as well as being dressed to impress in your best costume for food and prizes
  • November 2nd: Families in Christ
  • November 4th: Theology on Tap at Saint John
  • November 27th: Thanksgiving in the Park – Service for the people of Immokalee
