Bishop Frank J. Dewane serves as the spiritual leader of more than 250,000 Catholics in the 10-county Diocese of Venice in Florida. He was appointed by Pope Benedict XVI as the second Bishop of the Diocese of Venice in 2006.

Bishop Dewane currently serves on a number of boards and committees, including the Pontifical Council “Cor Unum;” the USCCB National Catholic Rural Life Committee as President of the Board of Directors; and on the boards of the USCCB Committee on International Justice and Peace and Catholic Relief Services; as well with the Florida Catholic Conference.
