God Promises to Make Something Good Out of the Storms that Bring Devastation to Your Life. – Romans 8:28
I hope you have been able to follow our efforts over the past two weeks, starting with preparing for Hurricane Irma, through the impact of the storm, and now into our recovery efforts. The Parish Family of Saint John the Evangelist is blessed with many gifts, and one of those gifts is our campus. We did sustain damage as the eye wall passed directly over our church. The power of the hurricane impacted every facet of our campus, snapping palm trees in half and tearing at our church roof. We are continuing to assess and repair the damage we have found, and will continue to keep you updated on our progress.
The delays we had from the County on our new Life Center project could not have been more divinely inspired, however. We had not begun any work that certainly would have been destroyed by the storm. Instead, we are moving forward with the construction effort now, including laying the foundation and preparing for the delivery of our pre-engineering metal building components, occurring next week. God is with us, for sure, and is helping us with our efforts on all fronts of our Parish Family.
As we Build Our Future, Serve Our Past, we still need all the gifts, prayers, and support of our Parish Family to reach our Pinnacle Goals. If you have any questions, please contact Jean-Paul Boucher, at 239-566-8740 or email: [email protected].
