Every expression of true beauty can be acknowledged as a path leading to an encounter with the Lord Jesus. – Pope Francis
The Catholic Church has always been the largest patron of the arts in the world. From the Sistine Chapel to our own beautiful choir, to our summer camp dance classes, music and the arts are at the heart of our faithful engagement in the world. The above quotation from Pope Francis in “The Joy of the Gospel” clearly shows that focus on developing the arts is a path to faith and love.
We are excited to announce the range of artistic activities and events for our Parish Family and the community in 2017! We want to ensure all ages get a chance to appreciate the fine arts, as well as participate in any that they would like. These cost effective, enjoyable, and encouraging programs will be available to youth and adults alike, with tailored activities for the age groups and skill levels. Some of them are completely unique in the area. In order to showcase these opportunities, we will be having our Arts Fair on Sunday, January 22, immediately following the 11:15 AM Mass and open for the entire afternoon. There will be mini classes and introductions for the following programs:
- Group Voice
- Social Dancing
- Group and Individual Piano
- Theater Introduction and Stage Presence
- Group and Individual Guitar
- Group Painting
- Group Wind Instruments
- Vatican Art Appreciation
- And So Much More!
Please join us for an exciting afternoon to find your inner artist! Refreshments will be provided throughout the afternoon as you go from class to class. For more information, please contact our Artistic Director, Jennine Fuentes, at [email protected]
As we Build Our Future, Serve Our Past, we still need all the gifts, prayers, and support of our Parish Family to reach our Pinnacle Goals. If you have any questions, please contact Joe Lichwalla, the Campaign Coordinator at 239-495-2001 or email: [email protected].
