Thanksgiving in the Park 2016: Saint John Takes the Lead with Guadalupe Center

DA_TDAYPARK164_10022383_ver1.0_640_480Please help support those in great need in Immokalee by participating in the 35th annual Thanksgiving in the Park.  As the lead religious organization that provided over 2,000 meals last Thanksgiving, Saint John the Evangelist is asking for assistance from all the Catholic churches in the Southern Deanery for donations and volunteers for the week-long set of activities.  We start on November 20, with Bring Your Turkey to Church Day, where each participating parish can have pre-cooked and frozen turkeys (they can be purchased at any local grocery store already cooked and frozen) delivered when individuals attend Mass on Sunday, and be driven to Saint John for storage.  Additional volunteer efforts will include carving those turkeys on Wednesday, November 23, serving meals in the Park in Immokalee, and all the cleanup efforts both before and after Thanksgiving.
