If there is one location on campus that I constantly receive positive feedback about, it is our Memorial Garden. This spot immediately next to the church is a quiet and serene final resting place for our members and a place of reflection for our Parish Family and guests. Over the years, it has been tended to by both staff and volunteers dedicated to enhancing its beauty and its support to those who visit their loved ones. We have had a very tough month for Saint John the Evangelist, with so much loss. It has been a blessing to have our Memorial Garden to provide solace and comfort.
We have recently undergone an assessment of the Memorial Garden; to ensure we keep this location the priority for our Parish Family. We found that out of the 2,155 spots in the Memorial Garden, only 329 are still available. That means we have less than 16% left. In order to give everyone a chance to choose a location here at St. John, I wanted to let you all know how close we are to being complete. We are keeping the cost at a very affordable $1750 per plot, which includes the individual plot in perpetuity, the headstone, and the interment proceedings.
