Parking Safety

IMG_2288Speaking of our facilities and grounds, there are several safety concerns I wanted to address, in particular within our parking areas.  As all of our Parish Family and guests arrive for Masses and events on our campus, people are looking for parking spots.  I understand that finding a spot where you want to park can be difficult, but we want to ensure we have a safe environment to enjoy Mass:

  • There is an entrance between the church parking lots and Naples Park Elementary, the school next door, where it is dangerous for both cars and individuals to be parked on that single-lane area. This is a fire lane for both locations, so it must be kept clear.
  • There are gravel spots near walkways into the churches that are not parking spots. Those are in place to give our parishioners someplace to walk, away from the moving cars so they will not be in harm’s way.  Please do not park on the gravel spots.
  • Our church has a back road behind it, adjacent to the cemetery. Please do not park along that road or at the exit of it.  Not only is this a utility road, it also is an emergency vehicle route for when we have a medical condition in the church.  We would not want someone’s life-saving support to be delayed due to a car blocking the road.
