We Christians, together with the other monotheistic religions, believe that the universe is the fruit of a loving decision by the Creator, who permits man respectfully to use creation for the good of his fellow men and for the glory of the Creator; he is not authorized to abuse it, much less to destroy it. In all religions, the environment is a fundamental good. – Pope Francis
Please join us at 9:30 AM on November 13th for the ribbon cutting of the St. John Farmer’s Market. In case you have missed it, St. John has a local Farmers Market every Friday, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM in our middle parking lot (next to the baseball fields and tennis courts). This Farmers Market is part of our Capital Campaign pledge to Build Our Future, Serve Our Past. With fresh produce and local businesses, St. John is supporting the community around us and providing our Parish Family with healthy options for groceries, arts and crafts, and wonderful social engagement.
This Famers Market is the first of many initiatives we are taking to expand our church’s capability to serve and support the community and our Parish Family, so please come out to support it on Fridays after each daily Mass and throughout the morning.
As we develop and start the programs associated with our Build Our Future, Serve Our Past campaign for all members of our Parish Family, like the Catholic Adult Organization and CYO, we need our entire Parish Family to give in order to reach our additional goals. If you have any questions, please contact Joe Lichwalla, the Campaign Coordinator at 239-495-2001 or email: [email protected].
