One of the most beautiful ceremonies we have at Saint John is the Crowning of our statues of the Baby Jesus and Mary, at the start of May, the month of Mary. 29 children, who had made their First Holy Communion just the day before, were proud to share their sacramental participation with the rest of our Parish Family. Looking like angels in their blue sashes, the children assisted Father John and Deacon Wallace in crowning our statues and blessing them with incense, with Julia Boucher given the honor of crowning Mary and Carter Beebe crowning the Baby Jesus. A beautiful ending to their first weekend participating in the community of Saint John, the entire congregation celebrated their achievement with cupcakes after Mass.
